JOB SUMMARY
Truvian seeks a driven (temp) QC Lab Technician to join our Quality Control team. As a QC Lab Technician, you'll perform various laboratory tasks within a team environment, specifically running reagents and consumable kits on Truvian’s automated blood testing platform. This is a hands-on bench position with primary responsibilities including, but not limited to, testing on the Truvian instrument following specific standard operating procedures, routine operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, assembly of test parts as required, and documentation of observations and test results. This individual will collaborate with scientists and engineers to execute experiments by operating the Truvian Platform. The successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail skills and a team player mentality. The successful candidate must complete training to ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and other regulatory requirements. In addition, this individual will adhere to all requirements of established quality systems.

This is a temporary, entry-level position that requires one to be onsite. The required hours of availability are a 6 a.m. start time and availability until 9 a.m. at the earliest. The position is for a three-month term, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and company needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Perform in-process and final product testing following Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure products are tested to meet the highest quality standards as determined by performance specifications
  • Effectively implement and maintain Truvian’s company standard operating procedures for Quality Control
  • Understands test results and pursues clarification of unusual results. Develops and uses the system to anticipate and recognize errors. Resolves discrepancies and reports results
  • Prepares investigation summaries and reports 
  • Creates, revises, and updates standard operating procedures as needed
  • May contribute to special troubleshooting projects and assay validations
  • Works cross-functionally to release products and resolve problems efficiently 
  • Successfully executes multiple responsibilities (multi-tasks)
  • Must be flexible and adapt to changing demands and priorities
  • Participates in process and operation improvement opportunities
  • Complies with company quality management systems, policies, and procedures, including self-training activities
  • Adheres to good documentation practices to ensure data integrity and traceability
  • Provide general lab support, maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment, and assist in restocking general laboratory supplies and inventory

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in:
  • Candidates must have a high school diploma and experience in laboratory settings. Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in science.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Superb attention to detail and ability to carefully follow instructions
  • Must be flexible, forward-thinking, motivated, and able to act independently
  • Demonstrated ability to drive task completion to meet deadlines
  • Ability to check for defects and identify and distinguish between colors
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

HOURLY RATE  
$17.00 - $19.00 Per Hour

This range considers the factors considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.  Placement within the compensation range is determined by internal equity and relevant qualifications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES 
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
  • Ability to lift and move over 25 lbs. repeatedly and safely, occasionally 75 lbs. with assistance

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
